A meditation on time, “Carbon” captures a series of ash and graphite plumes on a white ground. A single channel video installation, abstract shapes rhythmically rise and fall. Clouds disperse and coalesce. A unique rhythm is created. Time slows, reverses and advances as elemental forces play out on screen.
Carbon, was first exhibited as part of “Smaller Works by Stuart Allen and Cade Bradshaw” at Lake Flato Architects.
