A space to see, observe and reflect, Green Spaces on Market Street is a representation of San Antonio’s landscape and fauna. Green steel cut panels are attached to the top of a historic concrete wall overlooking the San Antonio Riverwalk. A halftone pattern of topographic lines undulates along the panels lengths, periodically transitioning to the bold shapes of plants found along the river trails. Abstracted shapes of native Texas animals can be discerned in the halftone pattern. Movement, time of day and physical location, alters the visibility of each animal to create a dynamic and ever-shifting screen.
